Industry News: NCAPPA – Western Focuses on the Care and Maintenance of the Masonry Building

We attended the North Carolina Association of Physical Plant Administrators (NCAPPA) Conference earlier this month in Buies Creek, North Carolina, home to the Fighting Camels of Campbell University. After three days of introducing Western to 28 universities at the trade show, Dennis Ahrenhoersterbaeumer, our Field Marketing VP, had the opportunity to conduct a seminar on the Care and Maintenance of the Masonry Building.

Dennis had given this same presentation six months ago during APPA’s National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Being that this was the last seminar on the last day of the conference, we expected a small crowd. So with some trepidation, we walked into the empty conference room. Once we were set up, we began to notice a noise in the hall and suddenly there was a mass of people shuffling into the room, filling every available seat. Dennis conducted the hour long presentation and afterwards, spent another 30 minutes answering questions, taking business cards and receiving requests for campus visits to help with building maintenance issues. Some of the attendees had heard this presentation in Atlanta and had come for more! Due to the overwhelming success, the local Western branch, located in Charlotte, has had numerous inquiries since the presentation.

Sincerely,

Mike Noel, Region 3 Business Development Manager
